Head Curator – Interdisciplinary Art Festival “Lost Paide”, Paide Theater and Opinion Festival, Paide (August 9–10, 2024).

Lost Paide was an interdisciplinary art festival born from a collaboration between Paide Theatre and the Opinion Festival, which transformed abandoned spaces into areas for self-reflection and melancholic resistance.

Lost Paide, because Rimbaud did not write poetry about this place or any other small town in Eastern Europe, nor did Hesse return to live in his grandfather’s birthplace. Hemingway mentioned Estonia only in that book he considered his worst. There is nothing here except Pärt and limestone… Nothing except those who stayed. Except those solitary figures who inhabit perfect rectangular boxes and wander empty streets. Who dream only at night, quietly and secretly, like cigarette butts blooming in the dark, and seek lost libraries, lost schools, lost post offices, lost theaters, lost parks, lost museums, lost villages, lost towns, and lost people, in order to somehow patch up those gaping voids before they too disappear.
